Easter Sunday at our house is always fun, yet hectic. The kids are up early hunting for eggs and going through their Easter baskets. Then its a rush to get ready and out the door to church. We always go to brunch after church, but by then we are all starving. A quick and easy dish to make before leaving the house is my favorite, Monkey Bread. The best part? You can prepare most of it the night before! Happy Easter!!
Monkey Bread
3 cans refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup sugar
3 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut biscuits in quarters. In ziploc bag, mix sugar and cinnamon. Place cut up biscuits in bag and shake to coat. (This is where I save time by cutting the biscuits the night before and placing them in the bag. In the morning, just pour the sugar mixture over them!)
Grease a bundt pan. Layer the biscuits in pan.
In microwave safe bowl, melt the butter. Mix in the brown sugar. Pour over the biscuits being sure to evenly coat them all.
While the kids are hunting for their eggs, bake for 45 minutes. Turn upside on serving plate and serve.
