I used this tutorial on Prudent Baby and was done in half an hour! Our friend, Luke is really into the planets and outer space and when I saw this fabric I knew it would be perfect for this project. He was so excited when he got it too :)
I used an orange and white stripe for the inside pocket which made sewing the lines so much easier!
Next time I am going to make it to hold 12 crayons instead of 18. It's hard to find a box of 18 crayons at the store :)
I can't wait to make some girlie versions! What a great birthday present this would be with a new coloring book :) Stay tuned!

oh ! that's a beauty!
Very cute! I make crayon rolls that hold 16 crayons...it ends up being a great number and they sell boxes of 16 crayons at the store. I always stock up when the "Back to School" stuff goes on clearance. :)
love the fabrics you used, i can't wait to make some myself!
Thanks for the great feedback everyone!!! They were super easy to make and the fabric options are endless. I think this fabric is by Riley Blake. I got it at my local quilting shop :)
I think this is next on my to do list. Thanks for the link to the tutorial. :) New follower from Sugar Bee Crafts. Would love to have you link this up to my {wow me} wednesday link up party going on over on my blog right now. The most viewed link will win a set of fancy rectangle chalkboard labels. This week I’m co-hosting with Reasons to Skip the Housework…so links will show up on both blogs! How fun!

That crayon roll looks great, I made one recently, but I like your fabric much better! x
The crayon roll is fantastic! It would also be a unique gift to give children for birthday parties. Much nicer than anything bought.
Love it. I need to make Maddie one! Thanks so much for sharing and linking up!
