For Christmas I made Emma a super cute girlie apron. She loves wearing it to play "Cafe Emma".
It was super easy to make too. I actually used an old apron of my grandmother's that I had as the base of the pattern. I just downsized it to fit Emma. Instead of making ties, I used a matching grosgrain ribbon to save some time :)
Super sweet and super cute! An easy gift for any princess :)

Superhero Reid
I am a month overdue but wanted to share what I made the kiddies for Christmas. First up, Superhero Reid!
Poor Reid plays dress up with Emma's princess dresses and shoes. As cute as it is, the poor boy needed his own dress up clothes. I ordered him a few for his birthday next month and for Christmas I made him his own superhero cape.
I looked for some inspiration online and by all means, my design definitely needs to be perfected. But for now, Reid loves his cape and has been "flying" around the house since :)
Stay tuned for Emma's special handmade gift from Mommy!
PS: Thanks to the hubby for the super duper camera lens I got for Christmas. It is AMAZING!!!

Introducing....
I cannot believe it has been one month since my last post!! After celebrating the holidays with the family in TN I took a nice break from sewing and crafting, did some organizing of the house, a little relaxing and a lot of redesigning.
My Etsy shop BabyChicCreations is no longer :( but I am excited to announce a new name and a new venture...Sweet Threads Clothing Co! I had been working with a designer to completely revamp my store and I LOVE the new look. My shop is reopened and my new business cards came yesterday!
With all that came an amazing opportunity my way that I can't wait to share with everyone once it's finalized! This will be an amazing year. I can't wait!!
If you get a chance, please visit my new shop and let me know what you think!

Holiday Treat - Chocolate Pretzel Clusters
Off to a cookie exchange this week? Having some guests drop by last minute? Need a gift for a neighbor or teacher?
This is a recipe of my mom's that I just had to share. She makes them all the time and they are so quick and easy. Enjoy & Happy Holidays!
Chocolate Pretzel Clusters
2 cups broken up pretzel sticks
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside. Break up the pretzel sticks. Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute, stirring halfway through. Stir until the chocolate is smooth. Add the pretzel sticks to the melted chocolate and completely coat. Place a heaping tablespoonful of mixture onto lined baking sheet. Repeat with mixture. Chill for 15 minutes before serving.

Little Mister Tie
Last week for Thanksgiving I made Reid a tie to match Emma's fall knot dress. It had been on my to do list since early October!
I couldn't believe how easy it was to make and I loved having them match for the holiday :)
I literally want to whip up one of these in every color. Doesn't he look the cutest?
He actually did like wearing the tie (at least for a little while). It is a great boy sewing project since those come few and far between.
I used a tutorial from Sharing the Wealth I had found on Pinterest awhile ago after searching for a pattern. They were all really complicated but this one had very clear directions and was by far the best one on the web.
Happy Sewing :)
