Things are busy and of course I wanted to post this last week :) I wanted to share with everyone the kids Easter outfits this year. Who said you can't match brothers and sisters?
I seriously loved creating these outfits and had been holding onto this fabric for awhile. Emma's dress is a peasant dress pattern but I made the sleeves and border a contrasting fabric which matches Reid's tie.
Reid loved wearing his tie to church and he looked like such a little mister! I can't believe how easy they are to make.
I have a few more outfits in the works for the two of them for the summer. Can't wait to share them with everyone :)
Happy Spring!!!

Barnyard Bash
Last week I had the opportunity of working with some great vendors on a Barnyard Bash birthday party! It was such a simple, yet fun theme and is perfect since its so gender neutral.
We kept it simple with a dessert table filled with cow printed rice krispies (a Pinterest find!), homemade cupcakes and chick shaped crackers. We made country lemonade and served it in glass bottles with fun paper straws.
The kids looked super cute in their matching outfits too :)
I can't wait to share with you all that I have been working on! It certainly has been a busy start to the year :)

Easter's On Its Way
I can't believe spring is near and Easter is less than a month away! Where did winter go? We (thankfully) didn't have much of one here in NJ :)
I made these matching Easter shirts for the kids. Great for pics with the Easter bunny and egg hunts at school!
Aaron drew a simple silhouette of a bunny and I used a white pom pom for the tail. I found matching polka dot fabrics in pale pink and blues at the fabric store.
I actually was a contributing vendor for these for PrintTheParty. The owner designed a new printable Easter party based on my shirts. I can't wait to get the photos back and share them with everyone :)

Disney Vacation 2012
We just got back from a wonderful week long vacation in Disney World. The kids had a blast and so many memories were made with family. Emma is already asking when we are going back!
I made special outfits for my kids and nieces with their initials on them. They LOVED wearing them and the girls were so excited to have the same outfit as Minnie Mouse :)
My princess and prince outside of Cinderella's castle. We treated the older girls to a royal breakfast inside. They absolutely loved it and got to meet ALL the princesses!
One of the highlights of our trip was actually meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The kids were so cute! Can't wait to go back in a few years and make some more memories :)

Little Firefighter
I have been busy, busy around here filling orders and I was so thankful to be asked to create a firetruck shirt for an upcoming giveaway on A to Zebra Celebrations.
Reid was such a good sport taking pictures in short sleeves, despite the chill weather. The fire fighters even let him sit up in the front seat and "drive".
For your chance to win one of my new firetruck shirts, please check out A to Zebra Celebrations Firetruck themed give away loaded with great prizes sure to make any little firefighter super happy :)

What's for Dessert? - Better than Sex Cake
Happy Valentine's Day! And yes! It is actually called Better than Sex Cake!!
This is my mom's recipe and I have no idea where she got it from. She makes it all the time for her bridge group or when she has a dinner party. It's easy, yummy and oh so chocolate-y! Enjoy!
Better than Sex Cake
1 6 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 box chocolate cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 3 1/2 oz instant fat free chocolate pudding mix
1 8oz container sour cream
Toss chocolate chips in 1 tablespoon of dry cake mix. Beat remaining ingredients for 3 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Reid's Superbowl Birthday Bash
I can't believe my Little Mister is now 2! His birthday this year actually fell on Superbowl Sunday so we decided to have a Superbowl Birthday Bash! It was actually a lot of fun decorating for the party and the kids and adults had a great time.
I found this baseball tee at Old Navy on clearance and decided to use it as his birthday shirt. It's sporty and I loved the colors! I appliqued a varsity style number "2" to the front and back of the shirt.
I found the perfect invites to match my colors and theme on Etsy. I loved how they looked like a ticket and the details were too cute. Check out cioprints for great DIY invites. I had her double them on page so I could cut costs and print them at Kinko's. Printing and cutting cost $6!
For the decorations, I got some great ideas on Pinterest. I decorated all my tables with astroturf we bought at Home Depot for around $16. It was enough to cover my dining room table, buffet table AND round kitchen table. It added a fun football element to the party and was actually cheaper than buying fabric or tablecloths.
Another Pinterest idea was PVC pipe to make a goal post. It was cheap and easy and I placed it in a plastic bucket from Party City, filled it with sand and covered the top with astroturf. On either side were mega phones, again from Party City with foam footballs I picked up from Dollar Tree. We also used white masking tape to add lines to the astro turf to make it look like a real football field.
I also covered my buffet table with astroturf and placed the cake and party favors on it. I took two foam boards and covered them with navy fabric and hung a DIY birthday banner from Paiges of Style on Etsy. I added pom poms to either side.
The cake was from a good friend who makes cakes on the side. I literally showed her a picture on Pinterest and she recreated it! And it was DELISH!
For party favors, I wrapped in cellophane bags a football whistle, a bouncy football, a football shaped party blower and a green lollipop.
Here is the birthday boy getting ready to blow out his candles! Happy happy birthday, Reid!!!
